Using BillCO₂ Saver

The bundled app reads uploaded bills in your browser. Its document-reading code does not send your bill images or extracted text to a ChatGPT or OpenAI service. It loads third-party PDF and optical character recognition software and supporting resources over the internet.

The app can save answers and progress in your browser’s local storage. Its saved-progress feature does not save the bill images or extracted bill text. Browser storage is specific to the device, browser, and website address you use; it does not automatically transfer when you change websites or devices.

Your bills and shared devices

Only upload bills you have permission to use. When demonstrating the app publicly, use a redacted bill or a clearly labeled example. On a shared device, clear your saved progress when finished.
